People who've outgrown the script.

Most people who find their way to me are at some version of an inflection point. Executives, senior leaders, and individual contributors at the high end of their game, often in tech, who have built real careers and are feeling the friction of what comes next. Sometimes that's a job transition. Sometimes it's a ceiling that doesn't make sense on paper. Sometimes it's feedback they've received but don't know how to act on. And sometimes it's the quiet, persistent sense that what got them here isn't enough to get them where they actually want to go.

What they share isn't a title or an industry. It's intellectual curiosity that hasn't found its right frequency. A drive that's ready to stop proving itself and start deciding what it actually wants. And a growing sense that the map they've been following was drawn for someone else.

Finding the right coach is its own kind of decision. Real curiosity and an appetite for change are what make the work move. There's often already a sense that more is possible. What's missing is the right space to genuinely explore what that looks like. If that sounds like you, I'd love to talk.

I've spent most of my career doing one thing well: helping people find what they couldn't see on their own. The route there involved opera, which is not typically where these stories begin.

I started in music, studying classical voice and advising adrift students on what a degree in music would and wouldn't actually do for them. That last part came naturally. The ability to read a room, catch the thing someone isn't saying, follow a thread until something gives — those instincts showed up early and never really left. An economic downturn eventually redirected me into HR, where the work I loved most stayed constant: the conversation that unlocked the room, the moment a person finds the answer they'd been sitting on all along. It confirmed what I'd already been watching play out in every room I'd ever been in. People carry their whole lives into their work.

I coach independently now, at the intersection of career and life. My approach is grounded in curiosity and observation, with enough humor to make the harder conversations easier to have. I've lived the pivot myself, which is why I believe, without reservation, that a detour isn't a setback. Sometimes it's the whole point.

Lauren Morris

The cadence of the work.

Every engagement follows a natural progression. Not a rigid structure, but a rhythm shaped by where you are and where you want to go.

Discovery.

We slow down before we speed up, asking the questions that actually matter before deciding where to go.

Design.

With a clearer picture, we figure out what you're actually aiming at and shape the work around that.

Exploration.

This is where the real work happens: surfacing assumptions, following threads, going as deep as you want to take it.

Reflection.

At regular intervals, we check in honestly on what has shifted, what hasn't, and whether the work, for now, is complete.

HR Consultation

For founders and leaders navigating people challenges without a dedicated HR function.

What clients say.

It's hard for me to describe how much I value my partnership with Lauren. Lauren has been there to listen, to offer words of encouragement, to affirm me when she thinks I'm right, but most importantly to push back and challenge me when she sees gaps in my leadership.

Director · Data Science

Thanks for your deep care and attention in meeting with me and my manager over the last few months to build better tools for communication and understanding. You even coached us individually outside of the sessions to ensure smoother communication when we met. I know for me personally, my stress levels have gone down — this was literally keeping me up at night.

UX Research Manager

During one of my most difficult career transitions she was supportive, empathetic, and provided specific and actionable next steps and feedback that allowed me to get through it.

Senior Director · Engineering

Lauren is a natural coach who highlights emerging blind spots I may have and nurtures a stronger thought process for my approach to decisions and people issues. The trust I have in her is something I can depend on to do my job better.
